Every
sensor needs a bright light condition to perform a best capture. Good light
conditions mean you’ll get an output of good photo apart from shaky and grainy
element. Whereas, bad light condition partially blinds the camera for a while
and gives a shaky and quite dark output. Thus, we can say the light is lifeline
for camera as well as for photographer who always wishes his photograph to be
captured as the same as his eye approves. Let me clear this bright and dark
chaos and how this function can be adjusted in cameras.
As
I above stated, good light condition is a key point for better photographs. So,
if you’ve a good light condition then you don’t need to worry anymore however
you can also apply this option to darken the image if you’ve an overexposed
light condition. But if you met a bad light condition then this option is going
to need you terribly. This option turns a dark image into a quite bright image
to clear all shadows and dark parts. In Nikon cameras, you can find a Exposure
Compensation button near shutter release button with Plus and Minus sign
printed on it. You can adjust Exposure Compensation by clicking this button +
Main command dial to adjust from positive to minus or minus to positive.
Adjusting this option from zero to 0.3 and onward 0.7 and 1, can output a dark
image into a bright image in which you can see shadowed parts of image clearly.
On the other side, if you turn this function from positive to minus e.g. from 0.0
to -0.3 then -0.7 onward to -5.0 figure. Setting the figure to minus causes
picture to go dark if you’ve a harsh light condition.
Alternately,
there’s another way to activate or set Exposure Compensation rather than
selecting it’s button and combination with main command dial, that is by pressing (i) button on
Nikon camera on the left of LCD Screen, then by going and clicking on Plus
Minus sign on the bottom of home screen of display to adjust Exposure Compensation. There, you
can adjust it not by scrolling main command dial, but clicking Plus Minus
option then adjust desirably. Adjusting this option in a very positive position
may lead the image to overexpose and to a very negative position may lead the image to
underexpose. So, there’s a need to adjust a balanced amount of figure
according to environmental situation/light conditions that could result in well-balanced exposed
picture. This option has no bad aftermath like high ISO adds a grainy effect to
the image while you zoom the image.
Hope
you guys have understood what I explained above. If you want to learn
photography or operating a DSLR, it is emphasized that kindly hold your gear in
your hands while reading this article. Apply all above mentioned methods step
by step to learn more quickly. Thank you all !!!
